We do not charge you by the hour, we charge you for the job we do. For example our charge for a UPVC front door lock is £65 inclusive. No hidden charges, no VAT to be added, just the price we say.

5 Lever Insurance Approved Mortice Locks - £35

Mortice locks must have a minimum of 5 levers and at least 1000 key combinations, a saw resistant bolt with a minimum 14mm throw able to withstand 300lbs side and 5000lbs end pressure, a drill resistant lock case, and one or more anti-pick devices.

The Association of British Insurers (ABI) guidelines require all final exit doors to be fitted with 5-lever mortice locks (or equivalent) conforming to BS 3621 and marked with the BS Kitemark. Rack bolts or security bolts are to be generally fitted to rear back doors.

6 Pin UPVC Locks - £20

The construction of UPVC doors makes it difficult to install additional locks and other security fittings. It is therefore important to seek advice from a master locksmith specialising in double glazed UPVC door lock systems if you require additional security. If you try to fit locks, door chains or viewers yourself, you could cause irrepairable damage and invalidate your door or window guarantee.

Your property, be it a home, office or retailer's outlet, should be secure providing the lock system is installed to the manufacturer's specifications. If you have any doubts about the strength or solidity of your UPVC door or frame, you should ask an expert for advice. UPVC door locks should work smoothly and will result in the lock being jammed shut in the locked position if the lock system has to work otherwise.

Tip
